The eSignature feature enables you to collect signatures electronically without the need to collect traditional handwritten signatures from the signing parties. Documents signed electronically have the same legal consequences as those signed using the traditional handwritten method.
Enabling eSignature
In order to utilize the eSignature feature, you first need to ensure the feature is enabled.
Click the Settings tab and scroll down to the Electronic Signatures for Rental Agreements section. Check the box next to Enable eSignatures.
If your property accepts payment by credit card for any security deposit or fees due at the time of signing, select which credit cards you accept.
Remember to click the Apply button to save your changes.
Attention:
Blue Moon Software does not process credit card payments. The resident will simply be able to submit credit card information when signing electronically. Your property will retrieve that information when executing the lease. You must process the payment following your normal payment processing procedures.
