Requesting eSignature
Once the eSignature feature is enabled, you'll have the option to request eSignature from your Print Menu.
- Create and save a lease record.
- Click the View Print Menu button.
- Select the forms you want to include in the resident(s) lease package.
- Click the Preview button to review the forms for accuracy.
- Check the box next to Request eSignature?
- Click the Print Selected Forms button.
- Enter the resident(s) email address(es). Click Initiate eSignature Request.
- The resident(s) will receive an email notification letting them know the eSignature process has begun. In sequential order, each resident will receive a second email notification with a link to the Blue Moon eSignature portal where they can view and sign their lease package online.
- Once each resident has completed the eSignature process, you'll receive an email notification letting you know the lease package is now ready to execute.

Why is my eSignature option disabled?
If you get to the Print Menu and are unable to check the Request eSignature box, the Begins On Date of the lease has passed. You cannot request eSignature for a lease with a Begins On Date in the past. The Begins On Date must always be today's date or in the future.
Time Constraints When Requesting eSignature
It's very important that you and the signing parties understand the time constraints associated with using the eSignature feature. A resident can only eSign their lease package up until the start date of their lease or within 30 days of the initial eSignature request being made (whichever comes first).
Example 1:
It is Nov. 23 today and you have created a lease and requested eSignatures. The Begins On Date of the lease is Dec. 1. The residents only have until Dec. 1 to complete the signing process. If not all residents have completed the eSignature process by Dec. 1, they'll need to sign their lease by hand. Or, you'll have to create a new lease record to request eSignatures again.
Example 2:
It is Nov. 23 today and you have created a lease and requested eSignatures. The Begins On Date of the lease is Dec. 25. The residents only have until Dec. 23 to complete the signing process. If not all residents have completed the eSignature process by Dec. 23, you'll need to initiate a new eSignature request before Dec. 25.
